Our dedicated team have decades of baking experience, mastering everything from pies to quiches, and a long list of future possibilities. The only thing we prioritise more than flavour is safety. Lin, originally from St Helena, has been with Clive’s for nearly 5 years, joining us after 18 years as a head housekeeper in Dartmouth. She has advanced at Clive’s through to the position of assembly team leader, and her and her team are responsible for all our pastry making, as well as pie and sausagey roll production.
She’s usually in from about 3am in the bakery, and is renowned for her high standards and attention for detail, as well as her calm and encouraging style.

I am trying to eat a more varied diet so I tried this nut roast from Clive’s. It was easy to cook, did me for two meals and was tasty. Would buy again. The ingredients list is encouragingly straightforward, no mystery gloop here.
I love this pie. The flavour is lovely, there’s plenty of filling, and if you cook it right, the pastry is great… There are so few products at the moment that tick all the boxes of Vegan, Gluten-free, Organic and sugar-free so Clive’s are a blessing.
A light & delicious not-so-little pie. Substantial filling, but light & fluffy; flavours complement each other, and the olive doesn’t overwhelm the tomato. The pastry is there as a support act to contain the filling, not stodgy at all. Another winner!

Clive started making plant-powered pies in the early 80’s, using tasty, nutritious ingredients. He was always open to experimenting with new flavours and packed every pie generously with as much plant goodness as possible.
He spread a new love of plants through the community, hand delivering pies to the people of South Devon on his trusty bicycle. Clive wanted to make eating animals a thing of the past. He had the foresight to work with the environment, not against it, choosing the best fresh and sustainable ingredients.
